Our emotions have sensational counterparts in the body. It’s at this level that our discomfort with our feelings become known to us. Most of us aren’t consciously aware of these sensations in the body but they do influence us and activate our avoidance habits. It’s often only when we take the step of sitting with ourselves without any of our distractions that we realise – oh, this is uncomfortable. In this video I talk about how to stop the painful and exhausting habit of avoiding emotions. Note: this video is not a substitute for actual therapy.
